Hardaway Extends Olive Branch to Gays PDF Print E-mail

Dear Trevor Project,

It is an honor for us to be here tonight. For years, the Tim Hardaway Foundation has been dedicated to helping children and youth overcome the challenges they face – whether at home, at school, or with their friends.

The Trevor Project helps today’s youth overcome the most difficult challenge of all – to be accepted for whom they are, regardless of what they look like or who they love. We were appalled to learn that The Trevor Project was the first national suicide hotline for youth struggling with gender identity and sexuality. However, we are grateful for their leap forward and are dedicated to their mission of instilling hope, acceptance, and raising awareness.

The Trevor Project sheds light on the most wonderful gift of all – the gift of life. We are committed to furthering the mission and reach of The Trevor Project nationwide. Our goal is mutual. It is to empower all youth – to give them something to look forward to and ensure that they feel supported, loved and accepted. We look forward to collaborating with the leaders of the Trevor Project to develop additional resources and save more lives. The Tim Hardaway Foundation is dedicated to Giving Voice to the Voiceless by offering them the resources they need to overcome ANY circumstance. We are confident that together we will give struggling LGBT and Questioning Youth a voice that resonates with hope and everlasting happiness.
