Florida Gubernatorial Candidate Accepts Anti-Gay Group's Endorsement |

 Today, the McCollum Campaign for Governor announced the anti-gay Christian Family Coalition (CFC) has endorsed Bill McCollum in the Republican primary for governor. The Christian Family Coalition has long fought against LGBT equality, opposing hate crime legislation, gay marriage, anti-bullying ordinances, and gay adoptions.
“It gives me great pleasure to have the Christian Family Coalition supporting my campaign. I appreciate their leadership on pro-family and pro-life issues and look forward to working with them when I am elected governor,” said Attorney General Bill McCollum in an email sent to CFC supporters. “As Governor, I will continue to protect life and advocate policies to strengthen Florida’s families.”
"I am proud to stand with Bill McCollum in Florida’s Republican primary for Governor. Bill McCollum is a common sense social and fiscal conservative in both his public and personal life,” said Anthony Verdugo, Founder and Executive Director of the Christian Family Coalition. “Florida is in need of strong leadership and I am confident Bill McCollum will lead our state with dignity and integrity".
