DJ Maximus 3000 is bringing the 80’s & 90’s back to Sunday nights with a new party at the swanky South Beach hotel The Catalina.  Billed as Happy Hour: SUNSHOWER, the soiree kicks off April 27 at Maxine Lounge, located inside the infamous Collins Ave. boutique hotel. 

Local celebrities were out in force Monday night as South Beach’s ‘gAy-listers’ gathered for the 15^th Annual Shelley Novak Awards at Score on Lincoln Road.  Co-hosted by local drag performer Shelley Novak and drag superstar Adora, the event served as opportunity to recognize local drag glitterati. 

It’s been less than two weeks since openly gay teen Lawrence King was shot dead in a California junior high school and already another gay teen has been murdered in what police are calling a possible hate crime.  This time the tragedy has struck much closer to home…Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
