Each week, through our Adopt-Sum-Luv feature, GaySoFla.com is pleased to highlight a different animal in need of a loving home. This week we introduce you to Jack, a beautiful Collie mix. 

Hi, my name is JACK.  It is nice to have a name.  At the shelter they just called me ‘the dog in cage 41’.  I am mostly a smooth collie with maybe a little hound dog too.  My first owners were pretty old and could not take care of me anymore.  I have had a rough time since then. 

First I had to get neutered - ouch.  Then they said I had heartworms.  The medicine for that made me feel lousy.  Glad that is all behind me. 

Now I am just adjusting to my new foster home where I run and play and wrestle with a lab mix named Susie.  I love getting my belly rubbed and waking my foster mom with kisses every morning.  She says I am a lover-boy and that I have been very well-behaved here.  She can tell I am happy here because my tail wags all the time.  But I will be even happier when I get adopted.
